Nick Baker

Nicholas Baker is a designer and maker currently residing in Brooklyn, New York. Born and raised in North Carolina, Nicholas started making at a young age in his grandfather's woodshop. After discovering his passion for art and engineering, Nicholas went on to study industrial design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He interned with a wide range of companies including Boy Scouts of America, Enventys, and HunterGatherer while in school.

After graduating in 2015 with a BFA in industrial design, Nicholas moved to Fort Worth, Texas to design full-time for Petmate Pet Products. Nicholas designed 80+ products for Petmate ranging from rubber toys to soft goods to litter boxes. He left Petmate in 2017 to pursue new opportunities in New York City. Nicholas launched a design brand, almost object, in 2017. After freelancing part-time for many years, Nicholas started a full-time industrial design studio in Brooklyn. In his free time, he enjoys experimenting in virtual reality, instagramming, and podcasting.

James Connors

ames Connors (aka @idrawonreciepts) is a NYC based freelance industrial designer who has designed dog toys, kitchen tools and gadgets, material handling containers, and fitness equipment. In his practice of design, he is driven to bring delightful interactions and forms to everyday objects and to sketch his ideas with the fewest lines possible. He finds inspiration in music, Samurai Jack, and the yo-yo. He also co-hosts the industrial design podcast, Minor Details, with Nick Baker.


Rotimi Solola

Rotimi Solola is an industrial designer who explores the world through the art of sketching. As a member of Motorola’s Consumer eXperience Design team, Rotimi participated in the conceptual development of smartphones and served as the Industrial Design lead for the motoZ 2 force edition, which launched in 2017. Prior to joining Motorola, Solola participated internships at MINIMAL (NML), Motorola, and Design Integrity, Inc.


Jordan Bahler

Jordan Bahler, IDSA, is an industrial designer at Delta Faucet Company. She first joined IDSA through the Student Chapter at Purdue University. At IDSA's Indiana Chapter, she served as secretary/treasurer; vice chair; and since 2016—chair Bahler sees IDSA chapters as valuable resource for members.

Mallory Evans, IDSA is a Senior Industrial Designer at Linx Global Manufacturing and a graduate of Purdue University. Linx is an award-winning design, engineering, and manufacturing firm that helps large companies streamline the process from development through production.
